Get to Know Mo: The Woman Behind Demand Moexhilarated

Hello, My Amazing Readers!

How are you doing today? I hope everything is going wonderfully for you. I realize I’ve never really introduced myself properly, and I think it’s important for you to get to know me, especially since I plan on sticking around for a long time. So, let’s dive in!

Who Am I?

My name is Morgatha, but you can call me Mo. I am the creator of the brand Demand Moexhilarated. You can find me on platforms like TikTok, Facebook, and other social media. I’m a social media enthusiast, but I’m also working hard to become a social worker. Yes, I’ve recently turned 30 (November 25), and I’m ready for this next chapter in my life.

A Little Bit About My Background

I was born in Liberia, and I was partially raised in Staten Island, New York, before moving to Minnesota in the 7th grade. I come from a family of immigrants, and my life has been shaped by the challenges and triumphs that come with that. My brother was deported, which deeply impacted my family. I’ve got a handful of siblings here in the U.S., and I was raised by my mom, dad, and two brothers.

You might also know that I’m a proud single mother. I have a wonderful daughter named Kamela, who is 9 years old and truly my everything.

Why I Started This Blog

My journey into blogging began after watching Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City come home every night and pour her thoughts into her blog. It seemed so therapeutic for her, and I thought, I could really use something like this too! Not just for myself, but to help others.

I want to share my personal experiences and create a supportive community, especially for women of color. As an Americanized African woman, I’ve experienced plenty of highs and lows, and I want to create a safe space where women can talk about anything—without judgment.

What You Can Expect From Me

This blog is my diary, and just like Carrie, I want to be open, candid, and real about my experiences. I plan to share everything from sexual growth and emotional healing to dealing with family issues, toxic relationships, and personal struggles. Life is messy, and I’ve made my fair share of mistakes. But through it all, I’m learning, and I hope you learn something too.

I’ve been broke, gone through family issues, dealt with toxic friends, and had some deeply personal moments that I’m ready to share. You’ll also hear about how my sexual preferences and religious beliefs have evolved over the years. My experiences are here to help you navigate your own journey, whatever that may look like.

Expect Laughter and Realness

There will be stories about best friends stealing my man, physical fights with family, and awkward moments. You’ll laugh, you’ll cringe, but most importantly, you’ll feel seen and heard.

I want to be as transparent as possible, so nothing is off the table. Whether it’s about navigating relationships, dealing with parenting struggles, or just life lessons, I’ll always be real with you. This space is about healing and growth, and I want us all to do that together.

Random Facts About Me

• I’m a devoted Sagittarius (November baby!)

• I’m allergic to certain soaps (long story, but my face once blew up like a blowfish).

• I dream of moving to a warm place like Arizona or Florida one day. I even picture myself cruising in a Honda Accord with a scarf, channeling Whitney Houston in Waiting to Exhale.

• I have a niece, Leona, whom I love like a daughter. We’ve had our moments (some not so proud), but we’re family.

• I have a favorite nephew, who we affectionately call Boo Boo—he’s smart, kind, and totally adorable.

• My dad is a pastor, and my parents have been together for years, showing me what commitment looks like.

A Safe Space for Everyone

Ultimately, this blog is about community. I want us to laugh together, cry together, and support each other through all of life’s challenges. I’m not perfect, but I’m here to share my journey and hopefully help guide you through your own. Let’s create a space where we can be free, unrestricted, and open.

Thank you for reading and getting to know me a little better. I truly hope we can connect and build a supportive, judgment-free community. Talk to me, give me advice, laugh at my stories—this space is yours too.

Until next time,

Mo
